Class Description

Benefit to the Student Showcasing your CPC credential on your resume will help you stand apart from other coders. Earning this credential, you will gain an in-depth knowledge of how to properly review and assign correct procedure and diagnosis codes for outpatient services. Who Should Enroll? This is a prep course for professional outpatient coders looking to earn their CPC credential. Students should have already taken Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Pathophysiology to gain the most value from this course. Education & Experience Requirements No education or experience is required to take this course but having hands-on training or related work experience will greatly benefit the student. It is also recommended to take basic classes like Fundamentals of Medicine and Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology to get the most from this course. Online CPC Course Length | 100% Instructor-Led and 100% Online via Zoom. Class will meet every Thursday for 8-weeks for 2.5 hours. From 5pm – 7:30pm EST First class is Thursday, April 4. A dedicated and private classroom website will be available 24 hours a day. The website will contain weekly power point presentations, weekly quizzes, a recording of each week’s classroom time to watch again or watch if you missed a class. If you miss a class, it's easy to catch up by watching the class recording on your own time or watch again to make sure the information stays with you. A final mock-exam will also be available at the end of the 8 weeks for practice in preparing for the real CPC exam. FAQ Q. What additional items do I need to be prepared for class? A. Students will need their code books (ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II). AAPC has a review guidebook, but it is not necessary for class. Q. Will students receive CEUs for taking this class? A. There are no CEUs attached to the class. The class is designed to be a prep-course to prepare students to pass the CRC exam. Q. Is there a live instructor for all classes? A. Yes, class will be taught live via Zoom by Kara Wagner, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, ICD-10-Train the Trainer, 29+ years of coding experience. Q. Where do I register to take the CPC Exam? A. AAPC

Cancellation Policy

Intero reserves the right to no refunds or returns. Should an event occur that a student can not attend one session from the 4-session class they have access 24/7 online to watch the recorded session. If an event occurs where a student has a life event that limits them from attending all classes in the session they registered for then they will have one year from the date of the first class to register for another class. The money will be applied to the new class. If the student does not register for another class within one year then the student forfeits all of their tuition money.
